To reset the RAM on a TI-83 Plus, follow these steps:
1. Remove 1 battery.
2. Press and hold the "del" button as you reinsert the battery.
3. Repeat these steps holding the "clear" button.
The calculator should read "ram cleared"
Keep in mind that resetting the memory will erase any programs or games that have been installed on the calculator.
